Warisan’s Veep Peter Anthony Hospitalized While Under Remand


Parti Warisan Sabah’s vice president Peter Anthony (photo in orange) who is being detained to assist investigation in connection with the alleged siphoning of up to RM1.5bil from RM7.5bil Rural and Regional Development Ministry funds for projects in Sabah between 2009 and 2015, was admitted to the KPJ Damai Hospital, after Tuesday’s court proceedings.

According to sources, Peter Anthony, whose remand was extended by three days beginning yesterday to assist in the case, was admitted to the hospital due to lack of water in the body and high blood pressure.

However, the latest condition of Peter had yet to be determined.

Peter Anthony is among seven people detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission under Section 17A of the MACC Act 2009 regarding the misappropriation of the rural project funds which was part of the RM1.5 billion fund estimated to have been misappropriated in a ministry between the year 2009 and 2015.
