Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman has called on all districts in the state to be ready to face natural disasters due to the extremely hot weather sweeping across the state.
“All district officers were asked to prepare for disasters such as drought and haze and work with the Fire and Rescue Department in case of fires breaking out.
“The Waterworks Department needs to ensure the welfare of the people is not affected and that they receive proper water supply,” he said in a statement today.
Musa, who is also chairman of the State Action Council, said the continuous hot weather had also caused several small fires and limited the water resources in the state.
In another development, he said the state government would ensure that all projects approved for implementation should be expedited this year, including the construction of two new Native Courts in Ranau and Tambunan respectively.
