Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties in the Batu Sapi parliamentary constituency are not daunted by the presence of ‘local product’ opposition parties, especially Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) , led by Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, in facing the 14th general election (GE14), said Batu Sapi UMNO Youth leader Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan.
He said such political parties, which were formed by disgruntled former UMNO members, were not a threat to to BN.
“Although these parties are local parties, I’m confident the people of Sabah are wise enough to evaluate their presence,” he said today at the 2017 UMNO General Assembly at the Putra World Trade Centre.
The UMNO Youth executive council member said BN are not intimidated by such parties for playing up the sentiment on “Sabah for Sabahan” and the Malaysia Agreement 1963(MA63) just to get the people’s support.
He expressed confidence that the people of Sabah, especially in Batu Sapi, would remain loyal and give their undivided support to BN.
